Adoption Journey Blog Carnival: Edition 1

"The journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step. "-
<>
The journey of adoption is always long and often bumpy. For those of us on that journey our friends and family are a huge support! Many of us have been fortunate to find support from others on the journey through blogs. To celebrate that I started this blog carnival as a way to connect with one another and get to know other adoption bloggers. I hope that you will take the time to visit one another, leave comments, share encouragement and come back to visit again!

Interesting to see you havn't included any adoptees in the carnival. Why is that? or do their experiences not matter

Thanks for quoting me! Gosh, I think that is the first time I've seen that quote outside my blog. It came to me as I posted a comment back to someone about fate.

And, what an ironic day to see it. We just went to our agency to put our Guatemala adoption on hold and double dip into Domestic.

Also, please check back...I have a new blog launching (hopefully) today at B5Media...A Child Chosen. It may not actually make it up until tomorrow but I would love to see you all there.

Oh, and you can use my full name in the quote if you want...Marcie Pickelsimer. I've gotten used to my name being out there.

What a neat idea. I think I need to start a blog (but don't know the steps). Even if I adopted so long ago I still love hearing and reading other's stories.

I truly believe that we have reached the point where technology has become one with our lives, and I am fairly certain that we have passed the point of no return in our relationship with technology.

I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Ethical concerns aside... I just hope that as memory becomes less expensive, the possibility of uploading our memories onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's a fantasy that I dream about all the time.
